Volume

The artist of this image has used different drawing techniques to give the painting volume. These include the use of shadows on the arch to show what parts of it are in the light and which ones are blocked from the sun by the object. They have also used curvature lines on the bird’s colouring around the neck to make it look like the bird has depth.

I was also tasked with drawing a character in the style of Adventure Time so i can get used to drawing ellipsis to create depth in images. This is the result.

This is only a rough sketch of a character so i could get used to drawing ellipsis on a character so it isn’t too important for me to finish it off, as i can use it as a base if i need to draw another character.
