Link is travelling through Hyrule in a Northeasterly direction. If he travels 10 kilometers at an angle of 30 degrees, how far in the X and Y axes has he travelled?

Round your answers to 2 decimal places where needed.

X = Cosine(angle) * Distance

X = Cosine(30) * 10 = 8.66

X = 8.66

Y = Sine(angle) * Distance

Y = Sine(30) * 10 = 5

Y = 5

How about this one?

A ninja monkey is firing a grappling hook at a tree top.

The base of the tree is 6 metres away and it is 8 metres tall. At what angle does the monkey need to fire?

Round your answer to 2 decimal places where needed.

Tan(angle) = Opp/Adj

Tan(Angle) = 8/6

Tan(Angle) = 1.33

tan-1(1.33′) = 53.1301023535

Angle = 53.13
